Nice prize for lovers or potential lovers.Last Weekend - Craigieburn FestivalCraigieburn Dog Obedience Group take part in the Festival each year by participating in the local street parade and dressing our dogs in themed costumes. Members are very keen to show their dogsto the community and have lots of fun.The highlight of the Festival for our Members is the opportunity to demonstrate their dogs Obedience and Agility.This is an ideal way of providing an insight to others on how a well trained dog can behave. Should you be interested in becoming a Member you can see us at our Sno-Cone stall.EASTEREaster WeekendThere is no training - our volunteers have a well earned rest.MAYSecond Sunday in MayFree raffle for Mother’s Day. No cost to members. Lovely prize for Mums.Every year we run a Members’ competition where Members can enter the competition (Informal Obedience Trial) in their respective classes and compete against their fellow classmates. FREE BBQ for Members.Members of other dog obedience groups are invited to come along and assist with the judging, so our Members can receive feedback from other dog obedience groups' members.Trophies and sashes are awarded to Members. Also the handler with the highest scoring dog on the day receives the Trainer of the Year Award. (We have a perpetual trophy plus a smaller trophy for the handler to keep).JUNEThe Encouragement Award and Most Improved Dog trophies are awarded.The Encouragement AwardThis award is given to the handler who has persevered the most with a difficult dog andregularly attended the training sessions.Most Improved DogThis award is given to the handler who has shown the most improvement with a difficult dog.JULYThe ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING is held in this month.We ask the Members to choose the people they wish to run the Club for the next 12 months.Awarded trophies are presented to members.SEPTEMBERFirst Sunday in SeptemberFree raffle for Father’s Day.
